The film "Crew," featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, has taken audiences by surprise with its impressive Day 1 earnings, surpassing the opening day collection of Salman Khan's "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan." "Crew" raked in Rs. 9.25 crore domestically on its debut day and achieved a global gross of over Rs. 20 crore, setting a new benchmark for the largest opening for a female-led film worldwide. On the following day, Saturday, the movie's earnings soared to Rs. 21.06 crore, bringing its global tally to Rs. 41.13 crore, while its two-day domestic total stood at approximately Rs. 21 crore. Positive reviews suggest the film is poised for further success, with trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicting a three-day domestic total of around Rs. 33 crore.

In a post-pandemic era where female-centric films have faced challenges at the box office, with exceptions like "Gangubai Kathiawadi," "The Kerala Story," and "Article 370," "Crew" represents a significant achievement and serves as an encouragement for future productions. The film has the potential to maintain its momentum in the absence of major releases until Eid, when Ajay Devgn's "Maidaan" and Akshay Kumar's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" are scheduled to premiere. The film's success will be further determined by its performance in the coming week and Monday's earnings.

Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, "Crew" also features cameo appearances by Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, adding to its star-studded cast.
